This Privacy Policy explains how PitDesk ("we," "our," or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use pitdesk.org and the PitDesk application (including our Android app).

Information We Collect

• Account information — email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text), or your name and email if you sign in with Google. If you use phone sign-in, we collect your phone number to send a one-time verification code.
• Content you create — files, sections, items, panels, and log entries you add to your workspace, so your boards persist and sync across sessions.
• Usage and device data — basic technical information (such as browser/device type and error logs) used to keep the app reliable and secure.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account, and let you log back in
• To store and sync the boards, items, and notes you create
• To operate core features such as search and backup/export
• To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep the service secure (e.g. rate-limiting login attempts)
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

Depending on how you sign in, we rely on the following third parties solely to authenticate you:

• Google Sign-In — used to verify your identity if you choose to log in with Google.
• SMS provider — used to deliver one-time verification codes if you choose phone sign-in.

These providers process only what's needed to complete sign-in and do not have access to your PitDesk content.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in our database and protected with industry-standard measures, including password hashing and authenticated, encrypted API access. Access is limited to what's necessary to operate the service.

Your Choices

• You can export a full backup of your data at any time from within the app.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us below.

Children's Privacy

PitDesk is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
